On the spot report of Werner J. Braun Valeri and Galina Gulai invited to their traditional event which took place in the Universal Sport Hall "CSKA" in the centre of Moscow. A very well suited place for such an important event.
When we arrived at the Moscow International Airport Sheremetevo after a pleasing flight with the Russian International Airlines Aeroflot, we were met by a representative of Gulais organising DanceSport Club "Aleko" and taken to the wonderful Aeroflot 5 Star Hotel "Aerostar" where we had a delicious welcome dinner for all judges. Upon arrival we immediately received a folder with all necessary information about the three days event with timetable for judging etc. No questions were necessary anymore. An outstanding optimum of information for judges.
The transportation of the judges to the sports hall was organised by bus and we all were surprised by the punctuality of the organising schedule. The timetable was on the minute - a very rare experience in the East.
11 experts of 11 countries judged the IDSF Open events - a good example for other organisers:

The IDSF competitions were the frame for a dance festival, which gave starting possibilities in Latin and Standard for Juniors 1 and 2 and Children 1 and 2. Especially the Junior competitions with more than 40 couples each were very interesting and showed that Russia brings up a lot of very promising talents.
