In the swing dances, when initiating to start moving we should always feel the gravity of our bodies. Before taking the first step e.g. the natural turn in Waltz, you should feel that your bodyweight is giving in to the gravity towards the floor. When the knees start to move forward, than take the first initiative to step and swing.
