Lowering in the standard dances should be clear to you as a competitior. When lowering you are absorbing the body weight FIRST (a fraction earlier) in the knees BEFORE the foot is synchronized and connected to the knee to support the total lowering process. Musical lowering demands flexibility of leg muscles and joints..
